e
are committed to providing quality psychological and consulting services
to individuals, families and organizations. Our work is grounded in ethical
principles and in the theory and practice of psychology. We have chosen
to practice independently for the privacy, autonomy and simplicity that
only a small practice can provide.
We are concerned
about rising health-care costs and we strive to provide the services our
clients want and need in a manner that is affordable, but does not sacrifice
quality of care to meet the restrictions of health-care plans.
We believe
that the most important aspect of psychological treatment is the quality
of the relationship between therapist and client. We place great importance
on collaboration and open communication in our work.
Guiding
principles in our work include:
- Appreciating
the uniqueness of each individual
- Affirming
the positive potential within all
- Valuing
the inborn push towards growth and wholeness.

In general, we espouse these goals in our clinical work:
- Understanding,
healing, and growth
- Living
fully in the present
- Living
life with a sense of purpose and vision consonant with one's values
- The
therapeutic relationship must feel safe and trustworthy
- A
collaborative relationship, based on trust, produces healthy growth
and lasting changes
- Relationships
rooted in integrity build community which is a powerful source of positive
institutional and societal change.
